Below are descriptions of the editorial services I provide. All of these services may be completed using the Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word. However, I can mark the edits on a physical manuscript. Please specify your preference upon contacting me.

Copyediting

In a basic copyedit, I will check spelling, grammar, and syntax. Also, fact checking is included with a copyedit. The goal of this service is to make the manuscript clear and concise.

 

Rate: $0.50 per word

 

 

Content/Heavy Editing

Heavy editing involves the basics of copy editing, but also checking broader elements such as organization, plot, character development, and structure. The edit may be substantial based on the quality of writing in the original manuscript.

 

Rate: $0.75 per word

 

 

Proofreading

During proofreading, I will check for typographical errors, spelling, and formatting errors. This is typically a light edit and used to polish a developed and edited manuscript.

 

Rate: $0.35 per word
